My husband and I struggled to get pregnant for 11 months. After 6 months of trying and feeling frustrated by my long cycles (40 days), I started taking FertilAid for Women along with OvaBoost. I was pretty amazed at the results. Within one month my cycle reduced to 36 days, and by the second month it was down to 28. For anyone who’s been in a similar situation, you’ll appreciate what a victory this felt like. When everything you read tells you that it can take an average couple up to a year to conceive – assuming you have a “normal” 28 day cycle, that will give you 12 chances to try within that year. For those of us with longer cycles, that leaves you with only 8 or 9 chances, which is incredibly frustrating when all you want is to get pregnant and be a mother. That drive can be all-consuming, I completely get that.
Once my husband and I got my cycle balanced out and I started having more regular and predictable ovulation patterns but still weren’t having success, my doctor recommended we get my husband tested to make sure there wasn’t a “he issue”. We were devastated when we got the news from our doctor’s office that my husband has low morphology. From what they shared with us, a normal range on average for healthy sperm from a morphology perspective is 12-15%. My husband had 3%. They immediately referred us to a fertility clinic, but suggested we keep trying in the mean time. They’re advice was that low morphology doesn’t mean you can’t conceive naturally, just that it will be more difficult and can take much longer than average couples. This was crushing news we both had a difficult time accepting, but at the same time – it did offer an explanation as to why we hadn’t had success yet. While we waited to get in to see the fertility clinic, we were willing to try to balance things out naturally on our own – especially after having such good success with Fairhaven’s fertility supplements for my cycles. So we decided to give the supplement blends for men a try.
We got the news regarding our low morphology results on November 2nd. By November 18th my husband started on FertilAid for Men, Count Boost & Motility Boost. On December 5th we got the best news we’d been hoping and praying for, for what felt like so long – we’re pregnant!! We were in disbelief at first, but were so grateful and felt so incredibly lucky. After struggling for so long, we have gratitude every day for such an incredible miracle. Today as I write this, we’re now 22 weeks along and about to pass our 5 month milestone, and I’ve had a fantastic pregnancy so far. I’m 35 years old and having my first baby this year and feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
I’m not someone who writes reviews ever, as in, I think this might be a first for me. But I know how painful the TTC journey can be, and how lonely it can feel. I wanted to share my story in the hopes that it will encourage even one amazing woman out there with the same dream I share. If you’re like us and frustrated after months of no success, or even got some crushing news as we did, know that it’s not the end. Fairhaven’s products work, they honestly do. I’m not saying they are the answer 100% of the time, but what I think they do best is naturally balance your hormones out (female and male), giving you the best chance, giving your body the best chance to do what it inherently wants to. For anyone who’s ever supplemented before, they’ll know they’re pretty inexpensive. And for anyone who hasn’t, I promise you they are much more cost effective than any of the treatments you’ll receive at a fertility clinic. It’s worth a shot isn’t it? It ended up being the right path for us, and I hope it is for you too.
